Starting as a Laboratory Technician, Sandy quickly distinguished herself through a keen aptitude for operating the Scanning Electron Microscope and Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy, showcasing a talent for precise analysis. Evolving into a key Analytical Scientist, Sandy serves as the Microanalysis Safety Representative, ensuring a secure laboratory environment, and actively contributes to maintaining our high standards of Quality Assurance. Recently promoted to the senior role of Laboratory Resources, Safety Manager, and QC Coordinator, Sandy now oversees crucial aspects of our operations, demonstrating exemplary leadership and dedication to maintaining the utmost standards of safety and quality.

Armed with an Honours degree in Physics from Robert Gordon University, Rick’s journey began with a keen focus on innovation. Recognising a market gap during his 15-year tenure managing the Particle Analysis Service at CSIRO’s Waterford facility, he founded Microanalysis to meet the industry’s need for a comprehensive and efficient particulate characterisation laboratory.
